Spuds – tops cut off

Decided yesterday to cut off all the spud tops. Although blight hadn’t hit them all, with damp weather on the way it was bound to spread. If the spuds haven’t reached full size now then I doubt they ever will! Harvest in 2 weeks…

All the winter lettuce and spring cabbages are now planted. Still a couple of good looking golden acre cabbages to go, but others have been badly hit by slugs.  savoys not affected, and are looking very good so far.
